The AMC 8 and AMC 10 are the American Mathematics Competitions, the most widely recognised math competitions for school-age students in North America. The AMC 8 is open to Grade 8 and below; the AMC 10 to Grade 10 and below.
Unlike school math, AMC problems test pattern recognition, creative reasoning, and problem-solving under time pressure — skills standard curricula rarely develop. A student who tops their class may find AMC 8 problems genuinely challenging. That gap between school performance and competition readiness is exactly what our free assessment identifies.

The AMC 8 tests arithmetic, number theory, geometry, counting, and probability. Our free assessment mirrors this structure — giving your child a realistic picture of where they are strong and where preparation would make the biggest difference.
The AMC 10 builds on these foundations with greater emphasis on algebra, combinatorics, and multi-step reasoning. Our assessment identifies whether your child is ready to compete at AMC 10 level or would benefit from structured preparation first.
